The illustration shows ErgoVU visualisation software from ErgoTech running on a 55 MHz ARM7TDMI device, the UNC20 from FS Forth Systeme (the small green PCB in the foreground). The other (black) box in the picture is a PPC-based RMU on which mi|k|a is currently being tested.

The display on the laptop screen is generated by a web browser applet, which communicates with the embedded device using XMLRPC. All XML and HTTP processing on the embedded device takes place in Java.
